CDAC Card Challenge

my first try at an official challenge, being a beginner and not having copics i was a little scared but i pulled on my big girl panties and got going.  my first attempt was to use some of the downloads of paper and stuff to do these cards.  well my printer did not cooperate, the color did not come out right, but i did get 2 templates for cards.  so i went to work using my colored pencils and some paper i have and these are the two cards i have completed.  if i have time i hope to do more but with my daughter and her family living here we are still getting organized  so we all fit .

Card 1: using the design from annies digital art I used color pencils and water color pencils to color the design, i found some clip art of grass strands to add.  i used paper i got from Joann's that had bubbles on.  my 2 year old grandson lost the butterfly so i had to find another one.  i then used clip art from ginger and went with the theme dream.  i know i need to do more reading on how to color with pencils but i am happy with the results.  being a newbie one has to start somewhere.  hope you enjoy this card.

Card 2: i planned on trying to create a vintage card with the fan design by  priscillastyles but i didn't have the necessary tools and supplies i felt i needed to do this.  in searching through my supplies i came up with this paper and created this card.  i felt it was a good thinking of you card.
this has been fun and i am glad i have challenged myself, i usually find all kinds of excuses to not step out of my comfort zone, i fear not being perfect but i am slowly deciding that a true artist has their own signiture and my special signiture are the flaws in my creations!!  that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

if you have time i hope you can look at my whole blog another new adventure for me.  i look forward to the next challenge.http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges?commentId=5856131%3AComment%3A686181&xg_source=msg_com_group#?=
